There is, surprisingly (although not), a lot of information in DK’s Thomas & Friends Character Encyclopedia.
It’s surprising because I didn’t realize how much information was available about each of the characters on Thomas & Friends. However, it’s not surprising because it’s a DK book and DK always offers a wealth of information.
In this book, you get a fast fact file on each character including role, home and likes; a picture of the train and highlights of the parts that make it special including Toby, who has a square body made out of wood and two doors that open on each side; a quote (“I’m sorry if I gave you a fright: Gator), a quick fun-fact (the letters on Rosie’s side stand for North Western Railway) and a quick highlight of a show that features the train (At the Great Railway Show, Philip was proud to carry the flag for Sodor’s Team).
By my favourite part of the book is that most pages show a picture of the real train that inspired the Thomas character. I think that is a really cool addition to this book.
A copy of Thomas & Friends was provided by DK for an honest review.
The opinions are my own.

So sad about the disappearance of summer. Why does it always go so fast. A week of work and then vacation. Not a bad way to end it.
