I wasn’t even close to being correct.

I was three quarters of the way through Your Truth or Mine ($18.99, PGC Books, Pan MacMillan) and I thought author Trisha Sakhlecha was leading me to an obvious conclusion. I ended up being completely wrong. I didn’t see the ending coming at all.

In her debut novel, Sakhlecha writes about Mia and Roy Kapoor, a couple who “promised to love and cherish each other. Whilst not perfect, their marriage is sacred and their commitment absolute. But a knock at the door changes everything when Roy is quested over the disappearance of a young woman. As Roy and Mia’s life unravels, they must question everything they know about each other if their marriage is to survive. But what if the real truth is not what they, or you, think?”

The book kept me guessing to the end with the author pointing to each character as a potential suspect, although some more than others.

Without giving things away, some characters are more than flawed and hard to stomach.

A quick read, I finished Your Truth or Mine within a day.
