The Thank You Book by Mary Lyn Ray ($15.30, Raincoast Books, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) is a beautiful story, both in words and illustrations.

The story teaches children that thank you is more than manners; it means being grateful for everything – for the sun that brings a new day to the zipper that zips up coats and hands to hold when the weather turns cold.

I absolutely love the illustrations by Stephanie Graegin , a mix of people and animals, helping each other out.

What a beautiful book, perfect for Thanksgiving and any time you want to show your children that the world is a beautiful place and there is a lot to be grateful about – even the small things.

A copy of this book was provided by Raincoast Books for an honest review. The opinions are my own.
