The Road to Ever by Moira Young (Doubleday Canada, $21.99) is a beautiful story, and one I can’t wait to read to my eight year old.

Orphan Davy Davids is an absolutely beautiful and decent character. Despite a challenging background, he rose above and always did what was right (well, there were a couple of wrongs; one that was particularly funny, but for all the right reasons).

Miss Flint, you learn, is an equally interesting person as are the secondary characters you met along the way.

The “Unforgettable Journey” – and the adventures the pair have on their way – is, indeed, unforgettable as well as beautiful and wonderful.

A beautiful read.
